Schnoobert was delighted to be part of Apocalypse Slough: A Murder, They Hope Mystery, the feature-length comedy whodunnit for UKTV Gold, first broadcast in September 2024.
The special brought Johnny Vegas and Sian Gibson back to screens as hapless investigators Terry and Gemma, with Sarah Hadland also returning to the cast. They were joined by an impressive line-up of guest stars including Sanjeev Bhaskar, Shaun Williamson, Annette Badland, Simon Day, Jim Howick, Ben Bailey Smith, Jason Lewis, Matthew Kelly, Charlie Hardwick, Gemma Jones, Harry Peacock and newcomer Dane Williams.
Made in co-production with Tiger Aspect, Apocalypse Slough delivered a fresh instalment of the much-loved Murder, They Hope universe, mixing broad comedy with a twisty murder mystery. This time, Gemma is offered a role with the Serious Crimes Agency while Terry is left on the sidelines - until a suspicious double murder at a rugby club pulls them both into the investigation.
The episode was written, created and executive produced by Jason Cook, with Mark Kenny serving as Assistant Producer for Schnoobert.
Schnoobert was proud to collaborate once again with Tiger Aspect and UKTV Gold on a riotous, sharp-edged mystery that brought more laughs, chaos and suspicious goings-on to the world of Terry and Gemma.

Schnoobert was proud to be a co-production partner on UKTV Gold’s festive feature-length special, Blood Actually: A Murder, They Hope Mystery, released in December 2023.
The Christmas special saw Johnny Vegas and Sian Gibson return as Terry and Gemma, alongside a brilliant guest cast including Jane Horrocks, Robert Webb, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Samuel Anderson, Clive Russell, Terry Mynott, Peter Davison, Anita Dobson, Martin Kemp, Sherrie Hewson and more.
Produced in partnership with Tiger Aspect, the special continued the much-loved Murder, They Hope franchise with another gloriously chaotic blend of comedy, mystery and festive mayhem. The story finds Gemma and Terry on a Christmas getaway in a seemingly quaint village, only for a Santa competition to take a deadly turn.
The special was proudly written and executive produced by Jason Cook, with Mark Kenny serving as Assistant Producer for Schnoobert.
